National Dog Day is celebrated annually on August 26th and recognizes the positive impact dogs have on our world and the important role they play in our lives. Not only do our canine friends bring us joy, laughter, companionship, and love - they have the innate ability to connect with humans and provide effective therapeutic and occupational services, resulting in a mutually improved quality of life. The following organizations provide rescue, animal welfare, and training services to benefit dogs and their families around the country. Bright Funds has created the Hispanic Heritage Fund to recognize the innumerable contributions and influence of Hispanic Americans. This Fund was created to honor the contributions and culture of Hispanic and Latino Americans. We invite you to join us in celebrating the history and culture of the U.S. Latinx and Hispanic communities. The composition of nonprofits in this fund is subject to change.

September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, a time to honor the victims and survivors of childhood cancer. The American Cancer Society reports that approximately 9,910 children in the United States under the age of 15 will be diagnosed with cancer in 2023. Cancer is currently one of the leading causes of death in children in the United States, and the leading cause of death in children by disease. The following organizations are working towards a shared mission of ending childhood cancer and supporting children and families impacted by a pediatric cancer diagnosis. These organizations are providing supportive services for children and families impacted by pediatric cancer and utilizing research and advocacy to innovate medical treatments and increase awareness surrounding pediatric cancer in an effort to find a cure.

September is World Alzheimer's Month, a global campaign dedicated to raising public awareness about Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia. The following nonprofits are doing the critical work to educate communities, support those living with Alzheimer's as well as their caregivers and families, and advocate for improved care and innovative treatment research.

Since 2002, Big Bikes Helping Little Tykes has been raising money for kids to go to camp at Camp One Step in Lake Geneva, WI. All monies go directly to help pay for the kids to attend camp when their families are overburdened with medical costs.
