The 2019 California Fire Response and Recovery Fund
On Friday October 25th, 2019, Governor Gavin Newsom declared a state of emergency in response to the fires raging in Northern and Southern California. Both the Kincade fire in Sonoma County, Northern California, and the Tick fire in Los Angeles County, Southern California, have caused several evacuations impacting hundreds of thousands of people within the community. Bright Funds has established The 2019 California Fire Response and Recovery Fund to support the communities impacted by these fires. This Fund is comprised of pre-vetted nonprofits providing emergency response in the region. Through a single donation to the Fund, you can support multiple organizations' initiatives to provide short-term and long-term response and recovery. We have initially selected organizations that are providing immediate relief needs, including rescue efforts and medical assistance. The composition of the nonprofits in this Fund are subject to change as we learn more about the needs on the ground.
