California Fire Foundation
Thousands of California firefighters work tirelessly for our communities, day in and day out. Following the unprecedented devastation of many catastrophic wildfires in recent years, the California Fire Foundation saw the need to provide ongoing, long-term support to the communities affected by disaster.

Food Bank Contra Costa and Solano
Started in 1975, the Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano stores and distributes donated and purchased perishable and nonperishable food items. An alarming 1 in 9 people within Contra Costa and Solano counties turn to the Food Bank for emergency and supplemental food. The Food Bank has developed programs that address the size of this need as well as nutritional needs of the people we serve.
Community Action Board of Santa Cruz County Inc
Located ten miles north of Santa Cruz, the Davenport Resource Service Center (DRSC), provides services to support the culturally diverse and low-income population in the rural north coast. Emergency and prevention services we provide include food programs, youth services, senior services, immigration services, and much more.
American National Red Cross
There are at least 77 large complexes of wildfires burning in 15 states across the country, with almost a third of them in California. Estimates are that over 45 million people remain under some sort of heat warning or advisory, and no reprieve from the record heat is expected until the weekend. California Governor, Gavin Newsom has declared a statewide emergency, as we continued to battle over 35 fires happening across the state, dozens of which are burning nearly in every Bay Area county as of this morning. The magnitude and spread of these fires has pushed Cal Fire to group them into specific territories. Red Cross teams across affected areas are working to activate disaster workers and response plans.
Community Foundation for Monterey County
The Community Foundation for Monterey County (CFMC) has created the Monterey County Fire Relief Fund to assist communities affected by current and future fires including the #RiverFire #CarmelFire and #DolanFire. The River Fire, south of Salinas, began August 16, 2020 in the hills near Mt. Toro. The Carmel Fire started in the Cachagua area of Carmel Valley on August 18, 2020, and the Dolan Fire in Big Sur began August 18, 2020. Donations to the fund will support both immediate relief and recovery efforts.
