Jackson, Mississippi Water Crisis Relief Fund

About

Heavy rains leading to the flooding of the Pearl River has resulted in the flooding of the O.B. Curtis Water Plant in Jackson, Mississippi. As a result, the water in Jackson and surrounding communities is now considered unsafe for consumption, leaving nearly 200,000 residents without drinking water. Additionally, damage to the water treatment plant has decreased water pressure significantly, leaving many residents without the ability to prepare meals, take showers and flush toilets. The following organizations are accepting monetary donations to aid in purchasing, transporting and distributing drinking water; implementing mobile shower and hygiene units; and ensuring those impacted are able to access additional resources as needed.
