CARE is poised to provide immediate assistance to impacted communities. Their local partners are helping to provide immediate assistance to tornado victims including food, water and funding to families in need.

Feeding America Kentucky's Heartland, Inc.

Feeding America, Kentucky's Heartland is providing ready-to-go emergency meals for victims. These emergency meals require no cooking are ready-to-eat and contain extra utensils.

Team Rubicon

Team Rubicon's team of military veterans and volunteers are clearing roads in Western Kentucky. A recon team in Benton, Kentucky is setting up a base of operations and Team Rubicon sawyer teams continue to clear roadways to restore access in Benton, Mayfield and surrounding counties. They are continuing to monitor the impact of the storm and working closely with local emergency managers to assess additional needs to assist communities.

International Medical Corps

International Medical Corps is responding to help people affected by the Kentucky tornadoes, working with local agencies and partners to provide such assistance as temporary shelters, generators, medical supplies and equipment, and hygiene items.

Americares

Americares contacted more than 100 partner health facilities in Kentucky, Arkansas, Mississippi, Missouri and Tennessee to offer assistance—mostly safety net clinics serving low-income, uninsured and underinsured families. They have deployed an assessment team to conduct damage assessments and partner visits in the heavily impacted areas in and around Mayfield, Kentucky. In addition, they are sending offer lists to partners that include offers of medicines such as TDAP and insulin, hygiene kits for displaced families and PPE for health workers and survivors.
